Dr Charles Shaw, world class expert for accreditation and quality improvement in healthcare, held two-day training for clinical audit for representatives of hospitals in Republic of Srpska. The training was organized by "Bonex Engineering" within the project "Implementation of Management and Quality System in hospital sector in Republic of Srpska" and was held on March 05-06, 2009 in the Institute for rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović" in Banja Luka.

This first round of training was attended by 28 doctors and six quality coordinators from five health institutions. Two more rounds will be organized in Bijeljina and Focha, and it is expected that more than 70 doctors in total will attend this training. 

The objective of this training is to provide doctors with necessary knowledge  and skill to begin the process of continual improvement of quality of clinical processess. After returning to their respective hospitals, doctors who attended the training will then train their colleagues and will define at least one project for improvement of clinical processes. Results of these projects will be evaluated on the new workshop which will be held in second part of 2009, and new improvement project will be inititated. Consultants of "Bonex Engineering" will continuously support doctors in their quality efforts.
